San Antonio - Tiger women's tennis player Gabrielle Roe has been chosen as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

Trinity went 1-2 against three non-Division III teams over the past week, but Roe was 4-1 in singles and doubles matches over the week.

Roe lost her first match of the week against St. Mary's University, but then rallied from a set down in both of her next two contests to earn wins over St. Edward's University and Tyler Junior College.  She also earned doubles victories with Thavindra Ekanayake against both St. Edward's and Tyler JC.  

Overall this season, Roe is 4-2 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles.  The Tigers are 2-5 overall, but have won their only Divison III match of the young season.

Trinity returns to action on March 1, playing at the ITA National Indoor Championships in St. Peter, Minnesota.  The Tigers won't return home until March 20, hosting Johns Hopkins University at 5:00 p.m.
