Trinity Women's Tennis Loses to Bowdoin for Sixth Straight Defeat

Northridge, California - The No. 13 Tiger women's tennis team lost for the sixth consecutive time on Monday afternoon, falling in a 6-3 match against 10th-ranked Bowdoin College.

Trinity fell to 3-11 on the season with the loss, and has not won since upsetting nationally-ranked Washington & Lee on March 1.  The Tigers actually took a 2-1 lead after doubles, but managed just one win in singles play.

Mackenzie Knoop and Thavindra Ekanayake took an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles, while Kristy Hamilton and Stephanie Williamson won by the same score at the third position.

Ekanayake survived for a 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 at No. 2 singles for the team's lone singles point.  Caroline White fell just short in a 6-3, 3-6, 2-6 loss at No. 5 singles.

Trinity will finish off its California road trip with a neutral match against Whitman College tomorrow.  The match begins at 9:00 a.m. (PDT).
