The Trinity duo began the national event last Wednesday by winning a play-in match over sisters Courtney and Morgan Lawless of Whitman College 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7). In the main-draw quarterfinals on Thursday, they fell 1-6, 7-6 (9-7), 1-0 (10-2) to the third-seeded University of Chicago team of Megan Tang and Ariana Iranpour.

But the Tiger twosome bounced back to beat Laila El Dessouki and Carmen Lai of New York University 6-2, 6-3 in Thursday's consolation semifinals.
