San Antonio - Tiger women's tennis senior Kylie Hornbeck has been named the Southern Collegiate athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Hornbeck posted 3-0 records in both singles and doubles (with Liza Southwick) as the 23rd-ranked Tigers opened their four-match California road trip.

She sparked the Tigers to victories over California Lutheran and the University of Rochester (NY), and helped Trinity pick up two of the team's three points in the 3-6 loss to the 13th-ranked University of Redlands.

Hornbeck didn't drop a set over the weekend action. Through the three West Coast matches, Hornbeck stood at 5-4 in singles and 7-2 in doubles.

The Tigers return home Friday, March 28, to host Schreiner University at 2:00 p.m.
