Box Score 2 San Antonio - Trinity junior Gabrielle Roe has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, for matches played through Sunday, March 1.
The tenacious Roe captured both of her singles and doubles pairings in the two home dual matches over the week.
Roe picked up Trinity's points in the 7-2 loss to Tyler Junior College, ranked No. 2 in the National Junior College Athletic Association. She won No. 5 singles and then teamed up with Caroline White to take No. 3 doubles.
Trinity, ranked 40th in the NCAA Division III, began its four-match California trip Sunday, with a 9-0 shutout of the California Institute of Technology at Pacific Palisades. Roe again prevailed, winning No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles, with her regular partner.
The Tigers played Pomona-Pitzer Colleges tonight (Tuesday) at Claremont, and will wrap up its West Coast swing Wednesday with Chapman University at Orange.
