San Antonio - Senior midfielder Yasmeen Farra headlines a group of eight Tiger players elected to the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Teams.
Farra was tabbed as the SCAC Offensive Player of the Year. She leads the Tigers in goals and points, along with shelling out seven assists to her teammates. Farra also leads Trinity with seven game-winning goals this season.
Joining Farra on the All-SCAC First Team were senior defender Jordan Leeper, junior defender Hannah Booher, junior forward Julia Camp, and junior midfielders Colleen Markey and Julia Kelly. Markey was earlier named the SCAC Tournament Offensive MVP, and Kelly earned Defensive MVP accolades. Trinity captured its 21st conference title at the SCAC Tournament.
All-SCAC Honorable Mention honors went to sophomore midfielder Chelsea Cole, and first-year defender Kristen Canepa.
Led by first-year Head Coach Dylan Harrison, second-ranked Trinity is undefeated with a 22-0-0 record this season. The Tigers beat Hanover (IN) College 2-1 in the NCAA Division III Playoffs on Sunday, advancing to the Round of 16 for the third time in the past four years. Trinity is competing in its 22nd NCAA Championships Tournament.
The Tigers will host the NCAA Sectional Tournament Saturday and Sunday. Trinity meets Penn State Berks in the Round of 16. The winner will take on either Hardin-Simmons (TX) University or Washington-St. Louis (MO) University.
