Box Score 2 San Antonio - The 24th-ranked Trinity women's tennis team won its seventh consecutive match with an 8-1 victory over #34 Wellesley (MA) College on Wednesday.
Trinity increased its season record to 10-5. The Tigers also stand at 10-2 against NCAA Division III opponents.
“The teams were really evenly matched," revealed Head Coach Gretchen Rush. "In the singles, Marie Lutz had another great win today at No. 1. Gabby and Andrea were almost exact clones, style-wise. Cheyenne came through at No. 6 for us to clinch the match. It was a great effort by our team. It was a tough team to beat 8-1. But they played well and came out strong in the doubles. We are looking good for playing Sewanee and Emory on Friday, and we are ready to go.”
