No. 10 Trinity Women's Tennis Set For NCAA Regionals At Emory

The No. 10 Trinity University Tigers Women's Tennis travels to Atlanta this weekend for the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament, hosted by No. 6 Emory University Women's Tennis.

Trinity opens regional play against No. 14 Washington and Lee University Women's Tennis in the Round of 32 on Saturday, May 9 at 2:00 p.m. EST. With a win, the Tigers would advance to Sunday's regional final at 12:00 p.m. EST to face either Emory or the winner of the North Carolina Wesleyan University Women's Tennis and Asbury University Women's Tennis matchup.

Last Time Out

The Tigers enter the NCAA Tournament fresh off an SAA Championship run, defeating Rhodes 4–0 in the semifinals before taking down Sewanee 4–1 to secure the conference title. Trinity played steady throughout the weekend and earned the program's automatic bid into the national tournament.

Preview

The Atlanta regional features three nationally ranked teams, with Trinity entering at No. 10, Emory at No. 7, and Washington and Lee at No. 14. Saturday's opening-round matchup immediately presents a strong test against a Washington and Lee team that has consistently competed at a high national level this season.

Hosting duties belong to Emory, one of the top programs in Division III, while North Carolina Wesleyan and Asbury round out the regional field. With the level of competition throughout the bracket, the weekend should closely resemble the intensity and depth of the national finals site.

Looking Ahead

With two matches standing between Trinity and a trip to the NCAA Division III Championship Finals site, the Tigers will look to carry their conference tournament momentum into regional play this weekend in Atlanta.
