San Antonio - Trinity setter Erika Edrington has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Co-Offensive Player of the Week.

Edrington and her Tiger teammates went 4-0 at their Trinity Fall Classic last weekend. Trinity defeated Whittier (CA) College, Whitworth (WA) University, Pacific Lutheran (WA) University, and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX) by scores of 3-0.

For her performance, Edrington was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player. The Tiger senior recorded 111 assists over the four matches, an average of 10.09 per set. Edrington also posted 33 digs to finish second on the team for the weekend's action. She registered double-doubles in three of the matches, highlighted by 39 assists and 10 digs against Mary Hardin-Baylor. Edrington produced 29 assists and 13 digs in the match-up with Pacific Lutheran, and 29 assists and 10 digs against Whitworth. 

This season, Edrington has chalked up 251 assists, which is an average of 10.46 per set. She also has accumulated 54 digs, for an average of 2.25 per set.

Trinity (6-2) will host the SCAC Divisional Friday and Saturday. First up on Friday's slate will be 11th-ranked Southwestern University at 6:00 p.m. The Tigers will take on Schreiner University at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, and conclude the tournament with a 5:00 p.m. match-up against Texas Lutheran University.
