San Antonio - Tiger sophomore Molly McCullough paced her cross country team to victory last week at the Trinity-hosted Alamo City Opener, earning the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award.

Blazing the 5k Olmos Basin Fields course in 19:34.27, McCullough is the first runner to win the award this season. She was the top collegiate finisher in the race, shaving eight seconds off her time from last season. McCullough paced a group of Tiger runners, eight of whom finished in the top 10. Trinity posted a team score of 17 points in the winning effort over Our Lady of the Lake University.

Up next for Trinity will be the Our Lady of the Lake Collegiate Invitational on Saturday. The meet will be held at San Antonio's Windcrest Golf Club, starting at 8:00 a.m.
