Fifth-Ranked Women's Soccer Blitzes Aurora on Friday

San Antonio - The fifth-ranked Trinity women's soccer team blanked Aurora (IL) University 6-0 Friday night, and gave Head Coach Dylan Harrison his 100th career victory.

MATCH SUMMARY

Trinity scored three times in each half, beginning with Jordan Bethea's eventual game-winner in the 16th minute.

Hannah Booher nailed two straight goals for the Tigers to finish the first-half scoring - the first of which came in the 25th minute on an assist from Colleen Markey. Booher then took a short pass from Halleanne Dure to put Trinity up 3-0 in the 31st minute.

Trinity out-shot Aurora 22-1 in the first period, and that would be the only shot allowed in the game by the Tiger defense.

The offense was efficient after the break as well, needing just 10 total shots to score three goals.

Less than four minutes into the second period, Markey snuck behind the defense and made her way into the box. The long run ended as she dribbled around the keeper, and slipped the ball into the back of the net for a 4-0 lead.

In the 56th minute, Booher picked up an assist to go with her two goals, driving a free kick into the box, and Julia Kelly headed the ball in for another Tiger score.

Halleanne Dure finished off the scoring in the 80th minute, taking a pass from Katie Peth to beat Aurora's back line, driving a low shot past the keeper.
