San Antonio - Trinity junior Caroline Kutach has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week for the second consecutive time.

Kutach defeated her NCAA Division II opponent from St. Edward's (TX) University last week in the top singles match. The Hilltoppers went on to beat the 16th-ranked Tigers 6-3, but Kutach won her match in straight sets.

It marked the fifth straight win for Kutach at the #1 singles position. She now stands at 5-1 on the season, with her only loss coming against DII member St. Mary's (TX) University.

Trinity will host two Division I matches over the weekend. First up is a 3:00 p.m. matchup Friday with Eastern Michigan University, followed by a 1:00 p.m. tilt Saturday against the U.S. Air Force Academy (CO).
