#16 Trinity Ends Rainy Weekend with Loss to Air Force

Box Score

San Antonio - The sixteenth-ranked Trinity women's tennis fell to Division I Air Force 7-0 to wrap up their weekend.

MATCH SUMMARY

The two teams were finally able to take to the court Saturday evening after a long rain delay postponed play. Air Force got to work quickly and picked up all three doubles matches to take a one-point lead heading into singles (the two teams had agreed to Division I scoring rules).

Cheyenne Duncan and Meredith Jackson gave the strongest doubles performance of the day, as they narrowly dropped their match 6-4.

The Falcons continued their strong day and picked up the first two points in singles as Mary Kaffen and Zoe Kaffen fell at lines four and five, respectively.

Andrea De Leon's straight-set loss at line two ended Trinity's hopes of a comeback and clinched the match for Air Force. The teams played out the rest of the match, and Air Force was able to pick up the final three points.
