#19 Women's Tennis Downs Colorado to Reach SCAC Final

Colorado Springs, Colorado - The 19th-ranked Trinity women's tennis team defeated Colorado College 5-0 in the semifinals of the SCAC Championships.

 

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

Trinity has now reached the SCAC Championship Match for the seventh consecutive time, having won each of the last six conference titles. The Tigers are seeking the program's 22nd overall SCAC Championship.

Cheyenne Duncan and Caroline Kutach picked up the first point of the match with their 8-3 win at line three doubles. Zoe Kaffen and Mary Kaffen followed suit with an 8-4 victory at line one, and Andrea De Leon and Marie Lutz held on for an 8-5 win at line two.

Z. Kaffen took the first point in singles competition with a 6-0, 6-2 win at line three, and Ashley DeBauge clinched the match with her 6-3, 6-2 victory at line two. 

Kutach, De Leon, and M. Kaffen all had matches underway, but were left unfinished. 

 

UP NEXT

The Tigers will take on the winner of the Southwestern (TX) University vs Austin (TX) College match in the championships tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. (MT) at the Woodmoor Courts.
