San Antonio - Trinity's Caroline Kutach has been tabbed as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week.

Kutach played #1 singles in last week's matchup with 26th-ranked Johns-Hopkins (MD) University. The #14 Tigers were edged 5-4 in a match played at Rice (TX) University in Houston, Texas.

The Tiger senior won a top-line three-set battle for her sixth consecutive singles victory. She now stands at 6-2 on the season, playing all eight matches in the first slot.

Trinity is sporting a 5-4 overall record and is 5-1 against NCAA Division III opponents. The Tigers will host three matches this week, starting with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at 4:00 p.m. Thursday. A match with #38 Southwestern (TX) University is set for 4:00 p.m. Friday, and Trinity concludes the week by taking on Tyler (TX) Junior College at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
