#19 Tigers Fall to Tyler Junior College on Saturday

San Antonio - The 19th-ranked Trinity women's tennis team lost 7-2 to the defending National Junior College Athletic Association champion Tyler Junior (TX) College Saturday afternoon.

NOTABLES

The Tigers now stand at 7-5 on the season. Tyler, ranked second in the junior college poll, improved to 9-3.

Tyler won the top two doubles matches, but Francesca Canjar and Andrea De Leon prevented a sweep by winning the third line 8-5.

Trinity's only other victory came at #6 singles as Paulina Garcia won her match in straight sets.

Megan Flores lost the first set of #5 singles and battled back in the second, but came up short in a tiebreaker.

Tyler also won numbers one, two, three, and four singles in straight sets.

 

UP NEXT

Trinity will play two matches in Abilene, Texas, next Saturday, taking on University of Texas-Dallas and Hardin-Simmons (TX) University.
