Box Score San Antonio - Trinity senior Abby Holland has been elected to the D3hoops.com Women's Basketball All-South Region First Team.
The talented forward was a Second Team All-Region honoree following the 2018-19 season. Last February, Holland was tabbed as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Year, as well as earning a slot on the All-SCAC First Team for the third year in a row.
Holland was one of the most prolific scorers in Trinity history. She chalked up 1,690 points over her Tiger career and is ranked second all-time in Trinity's record books.
During the season, Holland led the Tigers in scoring with 18.7 points per game (524 total) and pulled in a team-leading 6.6 rebounds (186 total) each contest. She also connected on 52.1% of her shots from the field.
Led by eighth-year Head Coach Cameron Hill, the Tigers finished the season with a 23-5 record and a #21 ranking by D3hoops.com. Trinity won the SCAC regular-season title and Coach Hill was elected the conference Co-Coach of the Year.
The Tigers received a bye to the semifinals of the SCAC Championship and defeated Texas Lutheran University at Kerrville, Texas. Austin (TX) College upset the Tigers in the championship game at Schreiner (TX) University.
Trinity received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship and hosted the first two rounds. The University of Texas at Dallas was an upset first-round winner over the Tigers.
