SAN ANTONIO - Trinity Women's Swimming and Diving holds a commanding lead after day one of the Tiger Invite. The Tigers lead all teams with a score of 424, which is 167 points more than the second place team. A group of relay swimmers broke a record, three swimmers raced to individual wins, two relay teams won their respective races and two divers finished in the top three.
The quartet of Mabel Fowler (Uvalde, Texas / Uvalde), Jadyn Trahan (League City, Texas / Clear Springs), Caroline Myers (Austin, Texas / Bowie) and Emma Hagan (Overland Park, Kan. / Olathe East) raced to a school record in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 3:52.42. That time was just one second short of qualifying for the NCAA B Cut.
Libby Goode (League City, Texas / Clear Creek), Josie Gillentine (Heath, Texas / Rockwall Heath), Caroline Westholder (Minneapolis, Minn. / Edina) and Morgen Reyna (Houston, Texas / Stratford) took second in the 400 yard medley with a time of 4:00.25.
Fowler, Myers, Morgen and Hagan teamed up to take first place in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:35.35. With that time, the women qualify for the NCAA B Cut.
Fowler paced to a first place finish in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:59.97. Magill took second in the same event by touching the wall in 5:10.25.
Reyna won the 200 yard IM by touching the wall in 2:08.45. Gillentine and Kara Moss (Houston, Texas / Stratford) rounded out the top three with times of 2:11.26 and 2:11.82.
Hagan sprinted to a first place finish in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 23.74. That time is fourth all time in Trinity history. Alexis Radhakrishnan (Lexington, Ky. / Paul Laurence Dunbar) placed second in the one meter dive with a score of 385.30. Gabi Fulk (Scottsdale, Ariz. / Horizon) rounded out the top three with a score of 373.35 in the one meter dive.

The Tigers still have two more days left of the Tiger Invite. Swimming prelims are set to start at 10 a.m. at Alamo Heights Natatorium. Diving will also start at 10 with those events taking place on the Trinity campus in the Hixon Natatorium. The finals for swimming will start at 6 p.m. at the Alamo Heights Natatorium.
