LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Trinity University Women's Soccer junior forward Kaity Ward (Phoenix, Ariz. / Xavier Prep) was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week following the Tigers' 4-0 knockout of Schreiner University on Saturday.
The two-time all-conference selection earned her second SCAC weekly honor of her career by setting the table for last week's conference player-of-the-week, sophomore forward Molly Sheridan (St. Louis, Mo. / Kirkwood), for Trinity's lone first-half score, then she found the back of the net in the 50th minute to kick off the Tigers' offensive barrage in the second period.
Ward paces the Trinity offense three matches into the 2021 spring slate with seven points (three goals), having played in only the Tigers' last two matches at Schreiner and against Southwestern University.
Trinity Women's Soccer treks up to University of Dallas to continue SCAC this weekend to meet the Crusaders for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
