ROME, Ga. – The Trinity women's tennis All-American doubles duo of junior Cate Cushing (Colleyville, Texas / Colleyville) and first-year Trinity Levy (Camarillo, Calif. / Weil Tennis Academy) finished off their part at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Cup on Friday.
The Tiger doubles team dropped the opening set of the day against Samantha Fuchs and Clare Palen of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 4-6, then rallied with a 6-2 win to force a third-set tiebreaker. Fuchs/Palen prevailed 10-4 to advance in the consolation round.
Later in the afternoon, Cushing/Levy faced off against Devon Wolfe and Alisha Chulani of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges. The Tiger duo ended their weekend with a 6-1, 6-3 loss.

This weekend ends Trinity's fall season schedule, but the Tigers will be back in action this spring, beginning at Hardin-Simmons University and Abilene Christian University on Friday and Saturday, January 27 and 28. Trinity will make its home debut for the Spring 2022 season on Saturday, February 11 against NCAA I University of the Incarnate Word.
