On the Bears: WashU will welcome Trinity to their home courts for the first time in program history this Friday, marking the seventh matchup of the two teams since 2011. The Tigers won their first outing against the Bears at home in 2011, as well as their last two contests in 2019 and 2022 – both also at home.

Washington University has faced their own fair share of tough competition this spring, going 3-6 against nationally ranked opponents, with an overall 10-7 record. Over Trinity's stretch of ranked opponents, the Bears have also battled No. 1 University of Chicago (L, 0-9; April 1 and L, 3-6; April 8) and No. 25 Washington and Lee University (W, 6-3; February 24). They also added two wins against No. 22 Denison University (W, 9-0; February 25) and No. 32 Kenyon College (W, 5-4; April 7).

Karen Gao of WashU is ranked 17th nationally, 6th regionally, by the ITA. She is joined in the regional rankings by teammates Eliana Hanna and Nina Moravek at 10th and 14th respectively. The duo of Gao and Hanna carried their 19th place ranking over from the fall, but Hanna has more recently been ranked 4th regionally with a new partner, Amber Edmonds.
