Trinity Softball to Host Dallas as SCAC Play Starts to Wrap Up

The Tigers play their final regular season home series; One last road trip before hosting the conference championship.

SAN ANTONIO – Trinity University Softball will face University of Dallas in their final home conference series of the regular season.

The Tigers (7-26; 4-10 SCAC) fell in all three of their weekend games to No. 3 Texas Lutheran University (April 14-15).

Junior Marina Delaluna (Concord, Calif. / Concord) smashed a solo homer in game two to give the Tigers their only lead of the series. That home run made Delaluna Trinity's all-time leader in career home runs, breaking a tie with Caitlynn Dykes that was reached just one week prior in the Tigers' series against University of St. Thomas.

First-year Carsyn Lee (Flower Mound, Texas / Flower Mound) added another hit and RBI in game two, adding the second of Trinity's two runs on the weekend. Lee is hitting .321 and has knocked in 20 RBI so far this season, the highest on the team.

Junior Dawson Dabboussi (Dallas, Texas / Highland Park) also helped lead the offense last weekend with her three hits, contributing two of the team's six in game two and the lone hit of game three. Dabboussi has the highest batting average for the Tigers on the season, hitting .403 with 27 hits and 12 RBI.

First-year Jordan Arce (Thousand Oaks, Calif. / Thousand Oaks) started game two in the circle, putting away the first seven batters she faced. She also allowed just one run on four hits through the first four frames of the Tigers lone game on Saturday to keep the Bulldogs to a 1-0 lead for the first half of the game.
