No. 14 Tiger Women's Tennis faces the black and gold of the SCAC on back-to-back days this weekend.
The Tigers (11-4) swept their single match against UC-Santa Cruz. Trinity dominated on all levels.
Ellie Hughes (Austin, Texas / Vandergrift) and
Rosabella Andrade (Southlake, Texas / Ponderosa) were the most prominent team on the weekend by winning 8-1 in #3 doubles. In singles, Andrade and
Cate Cushing (Colleyville, Texas / Heritage) balled out in #4 and #5 singles by winning 6-3 and 6-1.

Trinity will be at the
Butch Newman Center to take on Southwestern on Friday, April 19th at 3:00 PM. Then, the Tigers will have a quick turnaround the next day as they play against Colorado College at 10:00 AM.
On the No. 41 Southwestern Pirates: The Pirates are 11-8 so far this season. After dropping six matches in a row during the middle of the season, Southwestern has won eight of their last ten match ups. However, the Pirates did get blown out against UC-Santa Cruz 1-8 in their most recent match, a team that was swept by Trinity. All time, the Tigers are 14-2 against Southwestern since 2010 and have won the last three match ups.
On the Colorado College Tigers: The other Tigers hold a 5-10 record so far this season. Colorado has struggled recently as they have dropped five straight matches with two of those matches being against ranked opponents. The black and gold Tigers have been down during doubles play. CC is 10-33 in doubles and are 3-11 in both #2 and #3 doubles. Trinity is 8-0 against Colorado and has only dropped 1 of 54 total sets.
