Timmons recorded the first double-double of her career, contributing 12 points and 10 rebounds. Preview - Down I-10

Two opponents will make their way down Interstate 10 to Calgaard Gymnasium for back-to-back games. On Monday, January 6th, the Tigers will kick off the new year by facing Schreiner at 5:30 PM. The following evening, Hardin-Simmons will come to town for a matchup against the Tigers at 6:00 PM.

On the Schreiner Mountaineers: Schreiner has struggled this season, holding a 2-8 overall record and an 0-1 record in SCAC play. While the Mountaineers have had close losses to teams like Hardin-Simmons and UMHB, they have also suffered lopsided defeats to ETBU and Asbury. Their two wins have come against Howard Payne and Arlington Baptist, teams with a combined record of 4-15. Schreiner's offense is led by guards Brie Sosa and Tamia Moody, both averaging over 10 points per game. Madison Parham has also been a key contributor, nearly averaging a double-double each game. In their last matchup, Trinity defeated Schreiner 90-72 and holds a dominant 29-4 all-time record against the Mountaineers.

On the Hardin-Simmons Cowgirls: The Cowgirls have put together an impressive 12-1 record this season, with their only loss coming in a narrow 59-57 defeat to George Fox in late November. Since that loss, Hardin-Simmons has outscored opponents by nearly 200 points (541-371) and held all but one team to under 60 points. HSU holds a 7-0 record against SCAC teams this season, securing wins over Texas Lutheran, Schreiner, St. Thomas, Southwestern, McMurry, Dallas, and Austin College. Sophomore guard Madison Williams leads the team offensively with 13.6 points per game. The Cowgirls rank third nationally in total points and 19th in turnover margin, while guard Aiken Semones is fifth nationally in three-pointers made. In their last meeting, the Cowgirls eliminated the Tigers from the playoffs with an 84-62 victory. Trinity holds a 16-9 all-time record against Hardin-Simmons.

Looking Ahead
