ROME, Ga. – The 11th-ranked women's tennis team fell just short in the Quarterfinals of the doubles tournament at the ITA Cup.

The Trinity doubles team of senior Trinity Levy (Camarillo, Calif. / Weil Tennis Academy) and junior Rosabella Andrade (Southlake, Texas / Ponderosa) looked to carry their momentum forward after a hard-fought 10-6 tiebreak victory in the ITA Cup first round. In the Quarterfinals, the Tiger duo faced Elina Shalaev and Greta Nagy of Occidental College. Levy and Andrade showed strong form early, holding their own in a tightly contested first set before narrowly falling 7-5. Despite the setback, the pair continued to compete with determination but ultimately came up short in the second set, 6-3.

After a tough opening-round loss in the ITA Cup singles tournament, sophomore Lucy Nabedrick (Plymouth, Minn. / Wayzata) looked to rebound in her consolation match against Victoria Wang of New York University at 9:00 a.m. Despite the early start, Nabedrick came out strong, taking the first set 7-5 with confident, composed play. However, momentum shifted in the following sets as she dropped the second 7-5 and the third 6-3. Though the result didn't go her way, Nabedrick battled from start to finish, pushing her opponent to the limit in a tightly contested match.

All three Tigers reached this week's ITA Cup by winning the ITA Southwest Regional Championships and clinching both All-American status and a spot in the national tournament.

Levy and Andrade will play in the Consolations tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. against Izabele Antanavicius of Emory University. Nabedrick will also continue in the Consolations, facing off against Kaya DeBruijn from Gustavus Adolphus College.
