ROME, Ga. – The Tiger women's tennis continued its run in the Consolations at the ITA Cup on Saturday.
Lucy Nabedrick (Plymouth, Minn. / Wayzata) won her singles match 6-4, 6-1 over Kaya DeBruijn of Gustavus Adolphus College (MN), while the fourth-seeded doubles team of
Rosabella Andrade (Southlake, Texas / Ponderosa) and
Trinity Levy (Camarillo, Calif. / Weil Tennis Academy) lost the opening set 6-3 to Izabele Antanavicius and Erika Olson of Emory University (GA), but battled back to take a 6-3 win of their own and force a super tiebreaker. That tiebreaker turned out to be a marathon in which the Tiger duo fell just short in a 17-15 loss.
Nabedrick will take on Nana Wang of Whitman College (WA) in her final match of the weekend tomorrow. Andrade and Levy conclude their tournament against DeBruijn and Karina Elvestrom from Gustavus on Sunday afternoon.
