Box Score SAN ANTONIO – The 14th-ranked Trinity University women's tennis team opened its 2025 spring season with a 7-0 win over Lewis & Clark College (OR) on Saturday at the
Butch Newman Tennis Center.
The Tigers (1-0) have now won three of the past four meetings against Lewis & Clark (0-2), though today was the first meeting between the two teams since the 2019-20 season. Trinity has now won its season opener in each of the five years under the direction of Head Coach
Drew Cohn.
Doubles began with the second line doubles team of
Olivia Kim (Phoenix, Ariz. / Desert Mountain) and
Ellie Hughes (Austin, Texas / Vandegrift) won 6-0 to take the first victory of the day. The top line team of
Rosabella Andrade (Southlake, Texas / Ponderosa) and
Trinity Levy (Camarillo, Calif. / Weil Tennis Academy) clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory. Despite the clinch, the Tiger team of
Brooke Belitz (Scottsdale, Ariz. / Notre Dame Prep) and
Lucy Nabedrick (Plymouth, Minn. / Wayzata) won 6-1 at line three to finish off doubles.
Hughes was the first singles match to finish, earning a 6-0, 6-0 win at line two to put the Tigers in front 2-0. Kim was also finished quickly with a 6-1, 6-1 win at #1 singles, then Nabedrick clinched the team win with a 6-1, 6-1 win at line four. Levy took a 6-0, 6-1 win at line three, then Andrade won by the same score at line five.
Allison Vo (Sugar Land, Texas / Elkins) closed out the Tiger win with a 6-1, 6-1 win at line six, completing the shutout.

Trinity will resume play next weekend against a pair of teams in Georgetown, Texas. The Tigers face Concordia University (TX) and fellow Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference school Austin College (TX) at East View High School.
