Trinity University Women's Basketball hits the road to take on Texas Lutheran and Southwestern this weekend.
The Tigers (12-7, 8-2 SCAC) picked up two double-digit wins last weekend. After beating Ozarks 64-51, the Tigers came back to Calgaard the next day and blew out Centenary 89-54. The backcourt duo of
Kylie Minter (League City, Texas / Clear Springs) and
Josie Napoli (Beaverton, Oregon / Valley Catholic) 66 total points and hit 14 three pointers across two games.
Bailey Timmons (Argyle, Texas / Argyle) also had a solid weekend, posting 26 points on 11-24 shooting while adding seven steals. In the gold bracket, the Tigers sit in second place with an 8-2 conference record. Texas Lutheran is in first at 9-1, with McMurry in third place at 7-2.

Trinity will be on the road in Seguin to battle Texas Lutheran on Friday, February 7th, at 5:30 PM. Then, on Saturday, Trinity will travel to Georgetown to play against Southwestern at 4:00 PM.
On the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs: So far this season, TLU holds a 15-3 overall record (9-1 SCAC). The Bulldogs' only losses have come against Hardin-Simmons, UMHB, and McMurry. Despite securing a victory over nationally ranked Colorado College, TLU fell to McMurry by 20 points on January 31. The Bulldogs have two players averaging over 12 points per game, led by junior guard Lauren Sansano with 12.5 points per game. In their last matchup, the Tigers defeated TLU 70-59, improving their all-time record against the Bulldogs to 30-8.
On the Southwestern Pirates: Southwestern holds a 6-13 overall record this season, including a 3-7 mark in SCAC play. After starting 3-4, the Pirates endured a six-game losing streak in the middle of the season. However, they have since rebounded, going 3-3 in their last six games. Southwestern's three conference wins have come against Centenary, Austin College, and Dallas. The team is led by sophomore guard Adrianna McCoy, who is averaging 12.7 points per game this season. In their last matchup, Trinity defeated Southwestern 75-55. Historically, the Tigers hold a 51-18 all-time record against the Pirates.

The Tigers will return to Calgaard Gymnasium for another pair of games against Southwestern and Texas Lutheran on February 14th and 15th.
