Â
On The Schreiner University Mountaineers: Schreiner is struggling in their 2025 campaign, only winning two series this year for a record of 7-22 (4-14 SCAC). The Kerrville chaos didn't help the Mountaineers against Concordia, as they were swept in a series where they got outscored 21-1 over three games. Anyssia Mendoza has made herself a consistent base threat this season, leading the team in batting average by slashing .403 with 25 hits. Mendoza hasn't just been a threat with the stick in her hands, but in the circle, she's been shining for the Mountaineers as well. She leads the pitching staff in innings pitched with 59.2 and struck out 68 batters throughout that work. Trinity swept the Mountaineers in San Antonio last year, and are 42-25 against Schreiner historically.
