SAN ANTONIO – Trinity University women's tennis standouts Ellie Hughes (Austin, Texas / Vandegrift) and Trinity Levy (Camarillo, Calif. / Weil Tennis Academy) have been recognized for their excellence both on the court and in the classroom, earning spots on the prestigious 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The CSC Academic All-District® program honors top student-athletes nationwide for their combined athletic performance and academic achievements. Hughes and Levy's selection places them among the distinguished group of collegiate women's tennis players excelling in both areas.

Hughes has been a driving force behind Trinity's success. A three-time Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Doubles Team of the Week honoree (Weeks 2, 3, 4) this season, she played a key role in securing Trinity's fourth consecutive SCAC Championship (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025). Her dominant play in both singles and doubles earned her a spot on the SCAC All-Tournament Team and the prestigious All-SCAC First Team in Singles. Academically, Hughes is a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree (2023, 2024, 2025) and has been recognized as an ITA Scholar-Athlete and SCAC Academic Honor Roll member multiple times.

Levy has continued to elevate Trinity's program with her outstanding performances. A three-time SCAC Doubles Team of the Week recipient (Weeks 5, 7, 8), Levy also made her mark at the conference tournament, earning a place on the SCAC All-Tournament Team in Singles and Doubles. Her impressive consistency led to dual recognition as an All-SCAC First Team selection in Singles and Doubles. Previously named SCAC Freshman of the Year (2023) and an ITA All-American in Doubles (2023), Levy remains a key figure in Trinity's championship success while excelling in the classroom as an ITA Scholar-Athlete (2024) and SCAC Academic Honor Roll honoree.

Led by Head Coach Drew Cohn, Trinity won its fourth straight SCAC Championship and made its fourth straight appearance in the NCAA Playoffs this season. The Tigers finished the year ranked 12th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III rankings and advance to the NCAA Third Round for the second straight season.
