Ruth Hill Ready For NCAA Singles Championships

Trinity University Women's Tennis senior Ruth Hill (Abilene, Texas / Abilene) is set to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division III Singles National Championships.

This marks Hill's third career appearance in the NCAA singles bracket. Last season, she fell in the opening round in a hard-fought three-set match against top-seeded and eventual national champion Rena Lin (6-1, 4-6, 1-6). In her 2023 debut, Hill advanced to the second round after a first-round victory.

Hill has put together an impressive spring campaign, going 17-5 in dual matches and posting an overall record of 28-7, playing exclusively at the top singles line. She is currently ranked 24th in the nation in singles. A three-time ITA All-American, Hill has also twice captured the ITA Regional Championship. Hill was also named the Southern Collegiate Conference (SCAC) Player of the Year for the third time in her career this season.

She will begin tournament play on Friday, May 24, with the first and second rounds. The quarterfinals and semifinals are scheduled for May 25 and 26, with the championship match set for Monday, May 27. Hill will learn her opening-round opponent when the tournament draws are released on Friday, May 23.
