Hill, Nabedrick, Coach Cohn Highlight Tiger Women's Tennis All-SCAC Honorees

SUWANEE, Ga. – Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year Ruth Hill (Abilene, Texas / Abilene) and Newcomer of the Year Lucy Nabedrick (Plymouth, Minnesota / Wayzata) highlighted six players from the 12th-ranked Tiger women's tennis team honored on the 2025 All-SCAC teams, while Head Coach Drew Cohn was also recognized as the SCAC Coach of the Year.

Hill and Nabedrick were both named First Team All-SCAC in singles, joined by Ellie Hughes (Austin, Texas / Vandegrift) and Trinity Levy (Camarillo, Calif. / Weil Tennis Academy) on the First Team. Hill and doubles partner Olivia Kim (Phoenix, Ariz. / Desert Mountain) were on the All-SCAC First Team in doubles, as were Levy and doubles partner Rosabella Andrade (Southlake, Texas / Southlake).

Hill earns her third straight Player of the Year award and is ranked No. 21 nationally in singles, No. 2 in the West Region in singles, and No. 10 in the West Region in doubles this season with Kim. Hill has also competed alongside Lauren Tin (Austin, Texas / Vandegrift) for a large part of the spring season, going 12-3 with Tin as her partner. Hill finished the regular season with a 17-4 overall record in singles action and a 16-3 mark in doubles. In her four years at Trinity, no Texas NCAA Division III singles player has taken a set off her. Hill was the ITA Fall Regional Champion (both for singles and partnered with Kim in doubles) and made it to the Consolation Finals at the ITA Cup in October in both tournaments. At the 2025 SCAC Women's Tennis Championship two weekends ago, she earned All-Tournament honors for both her singles and doubles play for the third consecutive year. She is just the fourth women's player in league history to earn Player of the Year honors three times in a career, joining Lizzie Yasser of Trinity (2000-2002), Liz Bondi of DePauw University (2005-2007) and Sofia Vega of Texas Lutheran University (2014-2016). Hill follows a long string of Trinity players to earn SCAC POTY honors and her selection marks a record 16th time a Trinity student-athlete has earned the league's top honor.

Nabedrick is Trinity's sixth straight, and seventh overall, SCAC Newcomer of the Year. The freshman posted a 20-6 singles record on the season (13-5 in dual match play), playing as high as #2 singles with wins over several nationally ranked programs, including in Week 3 when she earned SCAC Player of the Week honors with victories over competitors from No. 7 Johns Hopkins, No. 10 Washington and Lee and No. 17 Christopher Newport. Nabedrick posted a 9-3 record in doubles play this season. She was also a finalist in doubles and a quarterfinalist in singles at the ITA Fall Regional Championships. Nabedrick is the sixth straight Trinity women's player to earn SCAC Newcomer-of-the-Year honors, joining Hailey Feuer (2019), Cate Cushing (2021), and current teammates Kim (2022), Levy (2023) and Andrade (2024). No award was given in 2020 (Covid).

Hughes earned her second consecutive All-SCAC First Team honor in singles after posting a 13-7 record in singles play and a 15-7 mark in doubles. Hughes and her partner Kim collected three consecutive SCAC Doubles Team of the Week honors during the season. With her most recent All-SCAC recognition, following her All-Tournament Team selection two weekends ago, Hughes has now earned All-SCAC honors in doubles for the fourth straight year and is a two-time singles honoree.

Kim earns her third consecutive All-SCAC First Team honor in doubles, adding to her two previous All-SCAC singles selections. Partnered with Hill, Kim won the ITA Fall Regional Championship in doubles and the duo is currently ranked No. 10 in the West Region. She also teamed with Hughes to earn three straight SCAC Doubles Team of the Week honors this spring. Kim is a three-time All-American in doubles, with her most recent recognition coming this past fall. Kim holds a record of 8-7 in singles and 14-6 in doubles.

Levy earned First Team All-SCAC honors in both singles and doubles for the third consecutive year after compiling a 17-2 singles record and a 14-7 mark in doubles play. Levy and her partner Andrade were named SCAC Doubles Team of the Week three times this season. An All-American in doubles, Levy has also received All-SCAC Tournament Team recognition in both singles and doubles in each of the past three seasons. She is currently ranked No. 14 in the West Region in singles, No. 25 nationally and No. 5 in the West Region in doubles.

Andrade earned her first career All-SCAC First Team honor in doubles this season, building on the All-SCAC First Team singles and SCAC Newcomer of the Year awards she received last year. She recorded a 16-4 singles record and posted a 14-7 doubles mark with partner Levy. The duo earned SCAC Doubles Team of the Week recognition three times, while Andrade was also named SCAC Singles Player of the Week twice. Andrade and Levy are No. 25 nationally and No. 5 in the west in doubles. Additionally, Andrade earned All-SCAC Tournament Team honors in both singles and doubles for the second consecutive year.

In his fifth season as the head coach of the Tigers, Coach Cohn led the No. 12 Trinity women's tennis squad to the 2025 SCAC Championship match where the Tigers defeated Colorado College, 4-0. The win represented the 12th conference title in the last 13 contested championships for Trinity and 27th overall for the women's tennis program, the third-most conference crowns by one program in SCAC history, trailing only the 28 championships won by Trinity women's soccer and 29 by the Trinity men's tennis program. A two-time ITA National Assistant Coach-of-the Year (2015 and 2017), this marks the fourth consecutive year that Cohn has earned SCAC Women's Coach-of-the-Year honors.

Looking Ahead
The Tigers earned the SCAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs and will begin play this weekend. Trinity received a bye in the first round and will face off against Whitman in the NCAA Second Round on Saturday, May 10, at 3:00 p.m. (PT). The winner advances to the NCAA Third Round on Sunday and will compete for a chance to reach the NCAA Quarterfinals.
