Scouting the Course: Pinehurst No. 1 was the first course built at Pinehurst opening in 1898. Originally designed and built by Dr. Leroy Culver and later enhanced by both John Dunn Tucker and Donald Ross, the No. 1 course is a classic due to not only its age, but also its appeal to golfers of all skill levels. Enjoy wide fairways and lots of birdie opportunities on the course. This par 70 course stretches 6,089 yards and is one of the finest golf courses in North Carolina. Hole 3 is a tough par 4, a dog-leg requiring an accurate tee shot between pine trees in order to reach the green in regulation. With only two par 5's on the course, hole 18 is a reachable par 5 with a wide fairway and large green making it a great finishing hole.

Looking Ahead

The Tigers will play in the Westbrook Invitational on Saturday, March 7 through Sunday, March 8, playing at Westbrook Village Lakes Course in Peoria, Arizona.
