No. 12 Tiger Women’s Tennis Continues Conference Play at Home

The No. 12 Trinity University Tigers Women's Tennis returns to the Butch Newman Tennis Center this weekend for three matches, opening with Hardin-Simmons University on Friday, April 3, followed by conference play against Oglethorpe University on Saturday and Berry College on Sunday.

Last Time Out

Trinity is coming off a strong weekend on the road, picking up a 7-0 win over Centre College and a 6-1 win over No. 27 Sewanee: The University of the South. Across both matches, Trinity controlled the pace and stayed consistent through singles, closing out courts without letting momentum shift.

Preview

Hardin-Simmons enters after a stretch of mixed results, including a 5-1 win over Shenandoah and a 7-0 win over Carroll earlier this season. They've shown they can compete in singles and will be a solid test to start the weekend.

Oglethorpe has had a tougher run recently, with losses against several strong teams including Emory and Rhodes. Despite that, they've played competitive matches and will be looking to bounce back in conference play.

Berry closes out the weekend and has been more consistent in conference matches, highlighted by a 7-0 win over Millsaps. They've also seen a range of results against strong competition, which makes them a balanced team across the lineup.

Overall, the weekend gives Trinity a chance to stay in rhythm at home and continue building on a strong start to conference play.
