IRVING, Texas – The Trinity University football team had 14 players recognized by the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society for academic excellence. The group of Tigers are among nearly 2,600 student-athletes from 365 schools to make the NFF Hampshire Honor Society membership list in 2026.
The NFF is celebrating 20 years of the Hampshire Honor Society, which was created in 2007 and recognizes football players from all divisions who have maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher throughout their college careers.

Trinity finished the 2025 season with a 10-2 overall record and a 6-1 mark in the Southern Athletic Association. Under the direction of Head Coach
Jerheme Urban, the Tigers advanced to the NCAA Playoffs for the fifth consecutive year and reached the NCAA Third Round for the first time since the 2002 season.
