NEW YORK – Trinity University senior offensive lineman
Caleb Bayer (Grandview, Texas / Grandview) has been named the NCAA Division III recipient of the Rimington Trophy, the award recognizing the top center in college football at each level of the sport.
Bayer anchored one of the most productive offensive lines in Division III football. He earned First Team All-America honors from the Associated Press, the American Football Coaches Association and D3football.com during the 2025 season while helping lead Trinity to the Third Round of the NCAA Playoffs. A three-time First Team All-Southern Athletic Association selection, Bayer was a key contributor to an offense that averaged more than 36 points per game and over 430 yards per contest during the 2025 season. In addition to his on-field accolades, Bayer has been recognized for his achievements in the classroom as a three-time Academic All-District® honoree, a three-time member of the SAA Academic Honor Roll, and earned a spot on the Dean's List in four different semesters over his career.
The Rimington Trophy goes to the top center nationally in each division of college football. The award is sponsored by the Boomer Esiason Foundation that raises awareness and support for cystic fibrosis.
