Mason Records Historic Fourth-Place Finish At NCAA Championship

PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA — Trinity University Women's Golfer Jessica Mason (Westminster, Colorado / Holy Family) capped off a historic season with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championship.

Mason's fourth-place finish is the highest individual finish by a Trinity golfer at the NCAA Championship, surpassing the previous program best of seventh place by Alejandra Sanchez De la Fuente Molino in 2022. Jess finished just two shots behind the individual national champion after posting a four-round total of 285 (70-71-74-70).

Mason closed out the tournament in impressive fashion with a final-round two-under-par 70. After opening the day with a bogey, she quickly settled in and recorded three birdies over her next six holes to get back under par. Mason made the turn at even par with a front-nine score of 36 before building momentum on the back nine. She opened her final nine holes with consecutive birdies and later added another birdie on the par-4 fifth hole to finish the back side at two-under-par with a score of 34.

With three of four rounds at or below par during the championship and the best NCAA finish in program history, Mason concluded her standout career as one of the top golfers in Trinity Women's Golf history.
