Trinity Softball travels to Columbus, Georgia to compete for a conference title in the Southern Athletic Association Tournament. They will face Berry College to open their tournament play.
Trinity (28-9-1) closed off their regular season last weekend with a series win over Centre College. These wins earned the Tigers the title of regular season SAA champions, and will be the no. 1 seed at the conference tournament.
Angela Baltzell (Antioch, Calif. / Freedom) led the Tigers with 5 hits and 3 RBI on the weekend.
Hannah Boudreaux (Pearland, Texas / Shadow Creek),
Josephine Koelewyn (Reno, Nev. / Academy for Arts Careers and Technology), and
Carsyn Lee (Flower Mound, Texas / Flower Mound) each hit bombs on the weekend, driving in 11 total runs across the series. In the circle,
Megan Kriechbaum (Cedar Hills, Utah / Pleasant Grove) picked up two more wins to add to her 11-4 record. Kriechbaum also picked up 13 strikeouts, helping her to achieve the SAA Pitcher of the Year accolade.

Trinity will head to South Commons Sports Complex in Columbus, Georgia to face Berry College on Thursday, May 6 at 5 PM. The rest of the Tigers' tournament schedule will depend on the outcome of this game.
On the Berry Vikings: The Vikings (26-12 overall, 9-9 in SAA) are coming off of being swept by Rhodes College in their final conference series of 2026. Berry's lineup is led by Elly Bennett, hitting .423 with 12 doubles. Senior Lauren Cothern received SAA Player of the year recognition, hitting .393 with 12 doubles and 6 homeruns. In the circle, The Vikings have been primarily throwing Ava Fouts, a junior with a 3.76 ERA, though the Tigers should also be ready to face JJ Sweat, a freshman with a 1.72 ERA.
