Senior Emma Pool (Columbus, Ohio / Upper Arlington) and sophomore Selina Noe (San Antonio, Texas / Reagan) rounded out the top-three outputs as they finished third in the pole vault and long jump, respectively.
The men's unit added a pair of top-five results to Majors's long jump title. Senior Naim Barnett (Austin, Texas / Round Rock) posted a flat 14-meter flight in the triple jump, junior Tanner Lacy (Oak Ridge North, Texas / Oak Ridge) vaulted for 4.25 meters; both performances landed fifth in their respective events.
Coach Speak
"The team performed well considering we haven't had a competition in a year," Head Coach Marcus Whitehead remarked. "We are really just beginning to scratch the surface on how good we can be. It's also a relief that we got our first national qualifier with Sean's long jump mark today."
