San Antonio, TEXAS – The Trinity track and field team will host the J.G. Gonzales Memorial Invitational this Friday and Saturday, Mar. 3-4. The Tigers are right in the thick of a busy four-week stint of meets each weekend, before taking some time to rest for the SAA Outdoor Championships on Apr. 24.

Highlights from the Last Time Out
Brightly Thoning (Homer, Alaska / Homer) set a PR of 59.47 in the women's 400-meter to take ninth, becoming only the third freshman to break 60 seconds in Trinity history.
Josette Gurule (Santa Fe, N.M. / Academy for Technology and the Classics) led the Tigers through in the women's 1500-meter, taking ninth with a SB of 4:43.27. Ciara Catton (Leander, Texas / Leander) was just behind in 10th with a PR of 4:43.29, moving into fifth in program history and becoming the fastest freshman in program history.
Brady Peifer (Odessa, Fla. / Steinbrenner) ducked under 10 minutes in his men's 3000-meter steeple debut, running 9:59.22 for ninth, the fastest freshman time in school history.
Chloe McCloskey (La Vernia, Texas / La Vernia) set a PR of 3.45m in the women's pole vault to take eighth and put herself fifth in program history.
Isabella Gaylord (San Antonio, Texas / Reagan) set a PR of 1:04.12 to take fifth in the women's 400-meter hurdles, making her eighth in program history.
Halle Hamilton (Craig, Colo. / Moffat County) took fourth in the women's 800-meter with a time of 2:15.85, missing the PR that holds her at second in school history by less than half a second.
Sebastian Langer (Houston, Texas / Clear Lake) set a PR of 1:54.19 to take eighth in the men's 800-meter, moving up to fifth on Trinity's all-time list.
Looking Ahead
The Tigers will head to Texas A&M-Kingsville for the Cactus Cup from Apr. 10-11.
