San Antonio, TEXAS – The Trinity track and field team will make their way to Texas State University this weekend for the Charles Austin Classic. This will be the Tigers' fourth year competing in San Marcos in a meet that has become a staple on the Trinity schedule.
Highlights from UTSA Invitational
Annabella Lanik had a huge jump to finish first in the women's long jump with a mark of 6.28m. While her farthest jump was wind-aided, her second farthest mark of 6.16m was legal, smashing the school record and vaulting her into second on the national list.
Halle Hamilton set a big new PR in the women's 800-meter, running 2:15.47 for 10th overall and a new second place in school history, just over a tenth of a second off the current school record. She currently sits in ninth place nationally.
Gianna Keena ran a new PR of 4:44.38 in the women's 1500-meter, taking 14th overall to move into sixth in school history. She is currently in 14th place on the national list.

Ian Zahner took second in the men's hammer throw with a new school record of 47.25m, continuing a stellar year for the freshman.
The women's 4x100-meter squad of

Shifa Daredia,
Isabella Gaylord and Lanik took first in a new school record of 46.78, smashing the previous school record by nearly a second. Their time currently puts them third nationally.
Orie Piken took third in the men's 200-meter in a wind-aided 21.39, a time that would have put him second on Trinity's all-time list, had it been wind legal.
John Michael Martin was second in the men's discus with a PR toss of 49.35m, moving him into fourth in school history and fifth on the national list.
Kris Duggan won the men's 110-meter hurdles in a PR of 14.62, putting him fourth on Trinity's all-time list and third on the national list.
Looking Ahead
The Tigers will host their home meet, the J.G. Gonzales Memorial Invitational, on April 3-4.
