SAN ANTONIO – Trinity University seniors
Cade Rabson (The Woodlands, Texas / College Park) and
Tyler Huettel (McKinney, Texas / McKinney) were both chosen for the 2024 Dave Campbell's Texas Football All-Texas Non-FBS team, following their standout performances with the Tigers during the season.
Rabson and Huettel both received the award for the first time in their careers, continuing the program's recent success in players being selected for the team. The duo led Trinity to an 8-3 record this season, winning its fourth straight Southern Athletic Association Championship and advancing to the NCAA Playoffs for the fourth straight year.
Huettel broke several Trinity records during his career, capping his time with the Tigers with 18 field goals and 91 total points and setting a new single season mark for field goals made. He also tied the school records for the most field goals in a game and for the longest field goal. Huettel is a three-time All-American (2021, 2023, 2024) who was named the Special Teams Player of the Year by four different organizations and was named to four different All-America teams just this season.
Rabson picked up his first All-American award, earning a spot on the D3football.com Third Team. He finished eighth in Division III with 124 total tackles, recording double-digit tackles in seven of Trinity's 11 games this year. He was a First Team All-SAA player and a First Team All-Region selection by D3football.com.
