IRVING, Texas – Trinity University proudly announces that 12 of its football student-athletes have been recognized as members of the prestigious National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society.
The NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which celebrates academic excellence among college football players, set a new record in 2025 with 2,536 honorees from 341 schools. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 throughout their college careers while serving as starters or significant contributors on their teams.

Tyson Cornett (Marquez, Texas / Leon), defensive back and holder
Raider Horn (Graham, Texas / Graham), offensive lineman
John Hughes (Cypress, Texas / Bridgeland), running back
Winston Hutchison (Round Rock, Texas / McNeil, offensive lineman
Jake Leighty (Gilbert, Ariz. / Campo Verde), tight end
Foster Malloy (Dallas, Texas / Parish Episcopal School), linebacker
Cade Rabson (The Woodlands, Texas / College Park), wide receiver
BJ Rainey (Cedar Hill, Texas / Cedar Hill), defensive lineman

The NFF Hampshire Honor Society, established in 2007, has honored nearly 21,000 student-athletes since its inception. Trinity University congratulates its honorees and celebrates their achievements as they continue to represent the university with distinction.

Jerheme Urban, Trinity won its fourth straight Southern Athletic Association Championship and advanced to the NCAA Playoffs for the fourth consecutive season, finishing the year with an 8-3 record.
