CANTON, Ga. – Led by 2025 SAA Conference Defensive Player of the Year
Ilsa Newland (St. Louis, Mo. / Kirkwood) and Offensive Player of the Year
Alex Doran (Boerne, Texas / Geneva School of Boerne), the Trinity University Women's soccer team had 11 different players earn All-SAA honors this year.
The Tigers hold a record of 11-1-4, with only one defeat this season as they head into this weekend's SAA Conference Tournament as the No. 1 seed in their first year in the conference. They will face off against the winner of the Oglethorpe vs. Centre matchup this Friday in the semifinal game. Trinity earned the top seed after winning the SAA Regular Season Championship.
Three Trinity players were voted onto the All-AA First Team, with four more earning Second Team All-SAA honors, and there were three All-SAA Honorable Mention selections. The Tigers also had one player voted as the SAA Rookie of the Year this season:
Lila Brackin (Dallas, Texas / Lake Highlands).
First Team
Joining Doran and Newland on the First Team is senior midfielder
Bri Werner (Woodbine, MD). Newland received First Team All-SCAC honors in both her freshman and sophomore year. Her freshman year, Newland received the SCAC All-Freshman team honors.As a freshman, she was named to the SCAC All-Freshman Team, and as a sophomore, she earned SCAC All-Tournament Team honors as well as SCAC Tournament Defensive MVP. Werner, a transfer from Coastal Carolina University, played her first season with the team in 2024 for her junior season. In that season, she earned First Team All-SCAC and SCAC All-Tournament Team honors, as well as being selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team. Doran has had a standout sophomore year, earning SAA Offensive Player of the Week honors three times throughout the 2025 season.

Hanna Khan (Southlake, Texas / Carroll), junior
Madisyn Barganski (Corpus Christi, Texas / Flour Bluff), junior
Malea Cesar (Portland, Ore. / Sunset), and sophomore
Kylie Harris (Missouri City, Texas / Ridge Point) were all named to the All-SAA Second Team. Khan received First Team All-SCAC honors both freshman and sophomore year. She also made the SCAC All-Freshman team, as well as received SCAC Freshman of the Year. Barganski made the SCAC All-Freshman team her freshman year. Her sophomore year, Barganski received All-SCAC Honorable Mention Honors. Cesar, arguably the best student worker in the sports information department, lands an all conference honor for the second year in a row after being First-Team All-SCAC last season. Sophomore
Kylie Harris has received multiple contributions for her important role on the Tigers teams. In only her freshman year, Harris received All-SCAC First Team, All-SCAC Freshman Team, SCAC Defensive Player of the Year, SCAC Newcomer of the Year, and the United Soccer Coaches First-Team All-Region Honor.
Honorable Mentions
Senior
Lauren Little (Houston, Texas / Houston, Texas / Episcopal) and
Clara Richards (Buffalo, N.Y. / Williamsville South), as well as junior
Kayla Boven (Katy, Texas / Tompkins). In her freshman year, Little made the SCAC All-Freshman team. Richards received All-SCAC Second Team her junior season in 2024. Boven received SCAC All-Freshman Team Honors in 2023.
SAA Rookie of the Year
Brackin has made a huge impression on the Tiger women's team in her short amount of time here, including 2 goals and 5 assists this season. Brackin has come through for the Tigers in significant matches. She most recently netted the game winner, as well as her first career goal, against Rhodes College in a 1-0 win. At the time, Rhodes was nationally ranked No. 21. Brackin also entered the game against Hardin-Simmons University and immediately made an impact. The Tigers were down 0-1 at her time of entry. After only 5 minutes in, Brackin assisted 2 goals for the Tigers, helping the team in a 2-1 win.
