Tiger Men's Soccer Duo Earns All-America Recognition

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tiger men's soccer standouts Adam Knutson (Dripping Springs, Texas / Dripping Springs) and Samuel Theiss (Boerne, Texas / Boerne) have been named First Team All-Americans by the United Soccer Coaches.

The Tigers enter this weekend's NCAA Final Four in Salem, Virginia, with a 19-1-1 record, having earlier secured the SAA regular-season championship with an unbeaten 7-0 conference slate.

Adam Knutson
This is the first All-American award for Knutson, who was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team for the second time in his career earlier this week. The senior also picked up his fourth All-Conference award, his third First Team selection, and was named the SAA Offensive Athlete of the Year after a dominant attacking campaign. Knutson has started all 21 matches, logging 1,500 minutes and totaling eight goals and five assists for 21 points. Impressively, six of his eight goals were game-winners, reinforcing his status as Trinity's most clutch performer. Through consistency, impact, and big-game excellence, Knutson has delivered true First Team All-American production, anchoring the Tigers' attack and solidifying his reputation as one of the nation's premier forwards.

Samuel Theiss
This is also the first All-American honor for Theiss, who earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region recognition for the first time in his career earlier this week. The junior forward also continued to build on his breakout rise by adding 2025 All-SAA First Team accolades after a prolific season leading the Tigers' front line. Theiss has appeared in all 21 matches with 19 starts, logging 1,137 minutes while powering Trinity's attack with 15 goals and two assists for 32 total points. He enters Final Four weekend as the Tigers' leading goalscorer, boasting an elite 50.8% shot-on-goal rate and delivering two game-winners across the campaign. With his blend of efficiency, consistency, and attacking explosiveness, Theiss has produced true First Team All-American numbers. His ability to convert chances at one of the highest rates in the nation has solidified him as an elite forward and a centerpiece of Trinity's offensive identity.

As the Tigers head into the Final Four this weekend in Salem, Virginia, their captains will look to build on their All-American honors by leading the push for a championship ring. Trinity faces the Emory University Eagles in the NCAA Semifinals tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. (ET).
