ROME, GA. – The Tiger men's tennis team fell short in the Round of 16 of the singles tournament at the ITA Cup but did advance to the Quarterfinals in doubles action on Thursday.
Senior
Jared Perry (Tucson, Ariz. / Catalina Foothills) dropped the opening set 6-4 in his Round of 16 matchup against No. 4 seed Bahl of Tufts University (MA). He then pushed the second set to a tiebreak but fell 10-8, ending his run in the singles draw. Perry now enters the consolation bracket where he will face off against Nordahl Jensen of Whitman College tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
Perry returned to the court later in the afternoon alongside fellow Senior

Both Tigers reached this week's ITA Cup by winning titles at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships, with Perry claiming the singles crown and the pair capturing the doubles title. The wins clinched both All-American status and a spot in the national tournament.
