San Antonio, TEXAS – Two members of the Trinity track and field team will make their way to Birmingham, AL to compete at NCAA DIII Indoor Nationals from Mar. 13-14. Bocar Diagana will compete in the men's triple jump, while Annabelle Lanik will take on the women's long jump.

Diagana qualified for nationals after finishing tied for 16th place nationally. His school record mark of 14.69m, set on Feb. 7 at the University of Houston, would have tied him for 10th last year, but a particularly hot winter for triple jump had him refreshing last chance results this year, although his spot was never in true danger. He now owns eight of the top 10 marks in indoor school history, and his outdoor school record of 14.80m may be in serious jeopardy if he continues his current tear.

This will be his first Indoor Nationals after a 16th-place finish at Outdoor Nationals last spring. While currently in 16th, he sits just .18m away from 10th place.

Lanik's school record mark of 5.91m, also set on Feb. 7 at Houston, earned her a bid to nationals and a fifth-place ranking nationally. She has been on another level this year, now owning 16 of the top 20 marks in indoor school history. If the past month is any indication, she could be in for a huge outdoor season, as her best mark last winter was just 5.53m. Her outdoor school record of 5.99m, which she set at nationals, should be on high alert.

This will be her first Indoor Nationals after earning a third-place finish at Outdoor Nationals last spring. This year's contest will be another exciting one, as she currently sits just .05m away from third place.
