Trinity Track & Field Heads To TLU and UTSA

San Antonio, TEXAS – The Trinity track and field team will officially kick off the outdoor season this weekend, Mar. 20-21, with most of the squad at Texas Lutheran University and a select number of distance runners competing at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The Tigers are getting a later-than-usual start to racing on the 400-meter oval, as their season opener at Southwestern University on Mar. 7 was canceled due to lightning.

After testing entirely new waters at the program's first indoor conference championship, the Tigers are looking to keep that momentum rolling into outdoors. Both men and women were selected as favorites to win the SAA Outdoor Championships after an Indoor Championships that saw the women claim victory and the men finish second to Centre College. On the women's side, 11 medalists from the 2025 SCAC Outdoor Championships are back in action this year, while the men return six medalists. As it proved to be indoors, the spring championships will no doubt be another close title fight with the Colonels on both sides.

Looking Ahead

The Tigers will be back on the track the following weekend, Mar. 27-28, at Texas State University for the Charles Austin Classic
