Winter Park, Fla. - The Trinity Tigers swim
teams rolled over host Rollins College in dual meets late Friday at
Alfond Pool.
Trinity's men won 120-84, and the Tiger women beat Rollins
115-89. The Tiger men captured seven events in the meet,
while the women won eight time in the dual meet.
Alex Miranda won the 200-yard individual medley (2:02.61) and
the 500 freestyle (4:52.96). Andrew Battles was
the 1,000 freestyle champion (10:03.27), and Aaron Shaver won the
50 freestyle (22.54). Spencer Bard took the
100 butterfly (53.8), and Matthew Wey won the 100
breaststroke (1:03.67).
The 200 medley relay team won its event, clocking in at 1:35.90.
Team members were Wey, Bard, Sean Fronczak, and
Zach
Dielmann.
Morgan
Briggs captured the 200 individual medley (2:18.31) and the 100
breaststroke (1:13.74). Meghan Varner won the
200 freestyle (2:01.99), and Ana Price took the 50
freestyle (25.48). Leslie Butts was the
100 butterfly champ (1:00.72), and Rachel Berude won the
100 freestyle (56.47). The 1,000 freestyle title went to Melanie Gustafson
(11:00.76).
The Tigers also won the 200 freestyle relay, with a time of
1:43.75. Swimming for Trinity were Varner, Berude, Mary Price and Ana
Price.
