San Antonio – The Tiger men's tennis team has enjoyed a stellar ITA Regional Tournament so far, and Trinity is assured to advance in both singles and doubles as only Tiger players are left in contention for the championships.

Sunday's "A" Singles semifinals of the ITA/USTA Division III Men's Tennis Southwest Region Championships will be an all Trinity matchup.
 
Starting at 8 a.m. at Delavan Tennis Stadium, top seed Max Frey meets No. 4 Cory Kowal, and Greg Haugen takes on second-seeded Bobby Cocanougher. The championship match is slated for 11 a.m.

Frey beat seventh-seeded Adam Chirhart of UT-Tyler 6-1, 7-6 (5) in Saturday's quarterfinals, and Kowal was a 6-3, 6-2 winner over teammate Ben Carroll. Haugen upset the defending champion and No. 3 seed, Trinity's Erick DelaFuente, 6-1, 6-2. Cocanougher defeated 13th-seeded Daniel Olivares of McMurry 7-5, 6-1.
 
The "A" Doubles championship match, at 2 p.m., will also be a Trinity show. Top seeds Cocanougher and Kowal, the 2010 NCAA finalists, will play the No. 2 team of DelaFuente and Frey.
 
The main-draw singles and doubles champions advance to the National Small College Championships Oct. 10-13 at Mobile, Ala.
